As a psychotherapist, Jane Wendy Briggs, LCSW I guides clients in a collaborative way to a place of connection, understanding, integration and growth. At times the work may feel nurturing; at times it may feel difficult, but it is Wendy's job as a clinician to make sure you feel both safe and supported.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Welcome to my Practice

We all struggle at times in our lives. Perhaps the root of that suffering is clear: a loss, a trauma, a life transition, or an illness. Sometimes we feel anxious or depressed, but we are unsure of the cause. Perhaps we know in our hearts we are repeating patterns in relationships, work, behaviors or lifestyle that no longer serve us, yet we can’t quite get unstuck.

As a psychotherapist I guide my clients in a collaborative way to a place of connection, understanding, integration and growth. At times our work may feel nurturing; at times it may feel difficult, but it is my job as a clinician to make sure you feel both safe and supported throughout.

Specialties

I provide individual therapy for adults and older adolescents experiencing a wide range of life challenges including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, addiction, trauma recovery, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship concerns, and sexual orientation and gender identity issues, as well as the self-management of chronic pain and other chronic health conditions.

Additionally, I offer consultation to clinicians and organizations that are interested in integrating mindfulness and somatic practices, including yoga, into the services they provide.
